From car “tracks” to railroad “tracks”


DAY 1 
Before checking into hotel, visit the Qualla Arts & Crafts center to view and possibly purchase local native crafts and works of art. After you get settled into your hotel, you will have supper at one of the local restaurants. This evening is free to possibly enjoy Harrah’s casino. (D)

DAY 2 
You are off early this morning for your first kind of “track” – a railroad track - to ride the Smoky Mountain Railroad, from the historic mountain town of Bryson City, travel along the Tuckasegee River, cross over the Fontana Lake Trestle and into the Natahala River Gorge where you will have a 1 hour layover. Upon your return to Bryson City, spend a little time browsing the shops around the depot. Then you are off to the Concord, NC area where you will overnight. (B)

DAY 3 )
This morning, you will be touring things that have to do with the other kind of “track” – NASCAR is the theme this morning. Your guide will take you to Hendricks Motorsports, Sam Bass Art Gallery (official artist of speedway) and if availability permits a look at the Lowes Motor Speedway formerly known as Charlotte Speedway. Everybody will depart with a “goody” bag. (B)
