Arrive at Nashville area hotel with staff greeting & luggage handling. Enjoy admissions to the Belle Meade Plantation for a tour of the antebellum mansion by period costumed docents where a Nashville battle was fought across the front lawn. (D)

Day 2:
Experience a Plantations & Battles Tour with local step-on guide for the “Battle of Franklin” that was fought block- by-block in this now picturesque town visiting the Carter House for guided tour & viewing film; visiting Carnton Plantation for guided tour of the mansion where a lot of the wounded were taken & time on the grounds. Also enjoy some free time in Franklin’s The Factory for shopping before departing for Murfreesboro & Stone’s River Battlefield learning about this Christmas fought battle. (B, D)
