Day 1:
Arrival at Berea hotel, check in and freshen up before this evening events. Enjoy a hearty family-style Boarding House Dinner in Renfro Valley. Renfro Valley Barndance, the show that started it all, Traditional Country, Bluegrass & Comedy or Classic Country, An upbeat show featuring Classic Country songs and Comedy. (D)
Day 2:
Enjoy your Continental Breakfast in the hotel before departing with your step-on guide for a 2 hour driving tour of the historic Berea and Berea College, making a stop at the Log House Craft Gallery, a tour of Church Weavers (watch the weavers at work if the plant is open on your day of visiting the area and a stop at Old Town. Delicious served lunch for some fine dining at the Historic Boone Tavern with the servers dressed in “tucks” and tables with fine linen. After lunch, depart for Renfro Valley to take in the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame. You will learn all about America’s famous Kentucky “stars” such as Loretta Lynn, the Everly Brothers, Jean Ritchie, The Osborne Brothers, Grandpa Jones, Tom T. Hall and many others. Free time for some browsing and shopping in the village Get ready for another scrumptious family-style Boarding House Dinner (different Meats each evening) Sit back, relax and enjoy some more great music at the Renfro Valley Jamboree – 60 minute show features comedy and music.
